Un CV canadien anglophone, américain ou britannique, c’est avant tout une question de résultats concrets. On veut du chiffre, de l’impact, du tangible. Finies les longues descriptions de missions. Ce qu’on attend de vous, c’est une preuve rapide de votre valeur.
Concrètement, ça veut dire :
- Structure anti-chronologique (on commence par le plus récent)
- Verbes d’action à gogo : “Led”, “Increased”, “Delivered”…
- Résultats chiffrés obligatoires
- Format épuré : pas de photo, pas d’âge, pas de situation familiale… rien qui ne parle pas directement de vos compétences.
L’idée ? Que le recruteur voie en quelques secondes ce que vous pouvez lui apporter. Pas juste ce que vous avez fait.
Une structure de CV anglais simple et efficace
Pas besoin de réinventer la roue. Voici le plan de base à suivre :
- Personal Details : nom, email, téléphone (et basta)
- Professional Summary : 3 à 4 lignes bien senties pour vous présenter
- Work Experience : vos expériences, de la plus récente à la plus ancienne
- Education : diplômes, formations

Chaque pays anglophone a sa propre vision du CV idéal. Pour mettre toutes les chances de votre côté, voici les grandes lignes à retenir :
Aux États-Unis: Clarté, efficacité et résultats mesurables. Pas de fioritures. Ce qui compte, c’est ce que vous avez accompli, point.
Au Royaume-Uni: Tonalité plus formelle. Un anglais impeccable, une présentation propre, bien équilibrée. Ni trop long, ni trop sec.
En Australie: On attend de vous un certain dynamisme. Un ton plus vivant, et une capacité à montrer qui vous êtes au-delà des titres. Les compétences humaines sont très valorisées.
Au Canada: Le pays du bilinguisme. Si vous maîtrisez l’anglais et le français, mettez-le en avant. Le CV canadien est souvent un mix entre l’approche américaine et la rigueur européenne.
